Last night's Goodwill find

« previous entry | next entry »

mood: pleased pleased

A cotton canvas duvet cover, black with thin tan stripes, 84" square. While this may not seem exciting, it was precisely what sarahbyrdd and I needed since we've opted for a rope bed with a straw tick mattress (actually it was her idea!) and needed the bag with which to stuff the straw.  Enter Goodwill, and viola!

Now I just gotta make the bed :-\

That's deliberate!

Ever see Little Mermaid? "It's a dinglehopper. Humans use these little babies... to straighten their hair out. See? Just a little twirl here and a yank there and VIOLA! You've got an aesthetically pleasing configuration of hair that humans go nuts over."

I hope the duvet cover is thick enough. You /may/ want to consider a futon cover instead only because they are a heavier twill and may hold a tick more comfortably. Unless you are already planning the straw will be pre-bagged in a heavy muslin. In which case .. ignore this and just have fun!

I so wanna be at Pennsic ... *sniff*

That's the word I was looking for! The cover is a cotton twill fabric. It'll be heavy eanough, and based on past experience I encase that inside a hypo-allergenic zippered mattress cover ;-D
